29 May CEO TOP 3 TO DO LIST. CHALLENGE. CHANGE. CHAMPION.
In a highly complicated time, when leaders are wondering what their role is and where to focus, I want to go back to basics today. I also want to take a moment to get you out of being highly reactive and into a more proactive leadership state.
When I talk about leadership, I often start with what I believe are the 3 foundations of leadership. First lead yourself, lead your tribe and lead your world.
Building these 3 foundations of your leadership gives you a solid base from which you can create opportunity. A practical way to consider how you build a strong leadership foundation, upon which you can develop all the facets of your leadership over time.
Each dimension brings you opportunities. You need all three to have a balanced foundation of leadership. You can reflect for yourself on how well developed each of these dimensions are for you.
Today, I want to look at the bigger picture.
Right now, there is a highly complex reordering of the world. And this means a reordering of your world. The ecosystem in which you and your people operate. Left untended, who knows what might eventuate. And this is where leading your world comes in.
So, how do you respond to this as a leader?
The power to question is the basis of all human progress.
